Cabaret & live performances
Cabaret, stage artists and special performances are part of Viller Mühle’s history.
Stars, big and small
Guests on Viller Mühle’s stages have included Atze Schröder, Kalle Pohl, Thomas Freitag, Basta, Ingo Appelt, Missfits, Christian Überschall, Herbert Knebel, Hagen Rether, Nessie Tausendschön, Gernot Voltz, Wilfried Schmickler, Ingo Oschmann, Purple Schulz and Bill Mockridge.
Hart an der Grenze
The cabaret series was developed with WDR radio and Kulturbüro Niederrhein. Hosted by Wilfried Schmickler and Gernot Voltz, it presented changing artists in the Sacklager. At times two shows took place each year, with recordings broadcast one or two weeks later on WDR 5’s “Unterhaltung am Wochenende”.
Open air at the mill
Together with Kulturbüro Niederrhein, Viller Mühle also hosted open-air performances. Missfits said farewell to their fans and the stage here. Local native Ingo Appelt treated his audience to a beer, and Bernd Stelter was also among the guests.
